Can you believe June is almost gone?. Believe it or not, summer time is always hard on me, I don’t like the heat.. I know everybody tells me, but you are from Mexico!.. yes, it’s hot in Oaxaca, but it’s NOT humid and that is a HUGE difference… I’ve been always kind of the Grinch of Summer time, I look for activities for the kids because it’s so hot that I don’t know what to do with them for the summer break.
This year it’s been different, I decided early on that the amount of work that I was going to take was totally limited, the kids wouldn’t have summer camps or stay busy away from mommy activities, this is our last summer as a family of 5, our last summer that we can basically do whatever we want without having to worry about nap/feed time schedules, last summer without having to worry if it’s “baby” appropriate so even though it’s been hard the heat and me been pregnant I decided to embrace it and enjoy it like the last summer as a family of 5 that it is. We’ve stayed so busy and we’ve had SO much fun!!!..
We’ve swam until we can’t anymore… Buying the Alabama Adventure season passes has been one of the best investments of the year for sure.. ;)
We celebrated Allison’s birthday with presents and a couple of her friends at home for cake and water fun… my baby girl is 7 years old now!
We’ve played at the lake and went out in an adventure to pick up blue berries..
took breaks from the heat at the McWane Center… yay for AC fun!.. ;)
And we’ve danced in the rain… in the awesome refreshing summer afternoon rain…
I’m loving this summer so much and I know the kids will remember too… And again, yes, they’ve fought, cried and had time outs but I chose not to remember those moments lol
And as a part of our changing life my belly is growing and we found out that we are having a baby GIRL!!!!!… you have no idea how excited I am about that.. This is how I announced it on my personal facebook fan page.. ;)
Now we only have a few weeks left of Summer and July is already packed with trips and more fun.. I know we’ll be full by the end of it and ready to go back to school but the memories we are making today will be forever in my heart.
