The so anticipated day arrived. Vivian Faustine was born Monday November 14th at 11:04am, weighing 7lbs 2 oz. Pink with a full head of blonde hair. I’m SO in love!
The contractions started sunday afternoon, they were coming every 2-5 minutes when we headed to the hospital, unfortunately they weren’t doing any changes on me, still due to been 39 weeks already the dr decided to keep me in. I was so glad because I was very anxious already about meeting my little baby girl and I didn’t want to leave without her. My water broke around 7am and from there everything went very fast.
Her name is after my grandfather Faustino, he’s one of the most important persons in my life. He’s 90 years old now and I’m SO glad he got to know that one of her great grandkids has his name. He got very excited! ;)
So I had planned to photograph the birth since I found out I was pregnant.. you all know how obsessed I am with pictures and I knew I was going to be worried about getting the pictures that I couldn’t take and I didn’t want to put any stress on my hubby or on me.. I’m SO lucky to know so many awesome photographers around here and call them my friends.. I contacted Amanda Pair a couple of months ago and we planned for the day, (as much as you can plan for a birth)!.. I wanted pictures of the delivery and of the kiddos meeting her for the first time.. and the fact that she came so fast worked out awesome and Amanda got everything I wanted. I’m SO SO SO happy with her awesome pictures! You can see her take on the day at her blog HERE
So I had to take a screen shot of our last few texts that morning.. I contacted her at 7am to let her know she was coming today but told her not to rush as my cervix wasn’t changing and I had been stuck at 3cm for a long time. This is how it ended.. notice my last txt to her was at 10:52am, Vivian was born at 11:04am.. She almost missed it!.. ;)
And the gift that she gave me…. will be forever with me. Thank you so much A from the bottom of my heart. Check the slideshow!.. if you can’t see it click in the link.

Some more pictures…
And of course I had to take a few pictures of her at the hospital… let me tell you she was born a diva and has made mommy wait her time for pictures.. ;)
We got home wednesday morning and life has been WILD.. it’s been a lot more harder than I thought it was going to be, but finally today after a long nap and hot shower I started to feel a bit more human..
Now if only time slows down everything would be perfect.
Thank you all so much for all your sweet comments, emails and gifts to us… I haven’t had time to reply to all of you but believe me I’ve read them and they make my heart happy… I’ll be taking off a few weeks from shooting but I have lots of pictures to share so stay tuned.
Best,
Grethel
