I had all the pictures ready to be blogged, a cute little family that I photographed not too long ago.. I signed up to my blog only to find out that I had posted 999 times.. the next blog post will be number One Thousand. I looked at the numbers and smiled. I thought that the big number deserved a special post so I closed the window and decided to think about what to do with the special post.
That post number one, called HOLA, over 5 years ago, written in Spanish started it all.. I was beginning my photography business but I thought only my mom would look at my pictures.. ;) You know even before I got a DSLR camera I’ve been obsessed with photographing my kiddos so while I was “open for business” I wasn’t really taking that many pictures of other than my kids.. so I knew I had to have a blog so I started my own. I wouldn’t have guessed I’d still be here after one thousand posts.
Having this photo business has been awesome.. it started out of the need of staying sane as I was staying home with my then, 2 year old, 1 year old and baby.. I’m sure my story is like a lot of the photographers out there.. I’ve always loved photography, college taught me how to take pictures, the film and technical way but it wasn’t until I had my kids that my desire to “not miss a thing” lighted up this creative side of me that I didn’t know I had.. Photography quickly became more than a hobby.. it became an obsession, a way of life and you know what’s the best part.. that after all those years the same desire of photographing everything that comes to me and my kids and the same obsession is there.. I just can’t get enough of it…
I think I’m just rambling here, most be the lack of sleep… Basically I just want to thank you to all of you that have taken some of your time to visit the blog during all this time, the time to leave a comment or send me an email, Thank you from the bottom of my heart.. I just wouldn’t be doing my 1000 post if it wasn’t because of you all and all your support.. THANK YOU!
And because there is no post without picture. A picture from way before this blog existed.. one of my all time favorites of newborn Dominic.
