{ At home with the Unnopets } … Birmingham Lifestyle Photographer

I don’t have to tell you how obsessed I am with taking pictures of my day to day life. I’m currently doing my 4th year of taking at least one picture a day of my kids, of our daily life. I challenge myself to see beauty in everyday chores, to save memories in the “little things”, it has really changed the way I see my life.

I’ve been in this photo business for 6 years and I’ve always offered in home sessions where I come to your life and  I’m a fly on the wall. During your routine in the mornings, when your baby wakes up from a nap, baking cookies with the kiddos, a trip to your favorite park, whatever your family likes to do. These sessions are totally story telling, there will be some planning onto what type of “activity/ies” you want me to capture for you but there will be no posing at all. I’ll just follow you around.

Every once in a while my husband pulls out the videos that he’s been filming through the years, and we sit for hours to see them, laughing at the chaos we see, the little voices of the kiddos, the way they used to walk or run, the sound of their baby laugh. We value our family videos and encourage you to contact Hampton Road Studios to film a Day In The Life. Since I have worked with them before, you can even schedule your Day In The Life session with Hampton Road Studios on the same day as your photo session to make your life easier. They have been doing Day In The Life sessions for over a year and really know how to make a family feel at ease while capturing their life. Check their take on the day HERE.

So last week we got together to give us a trial run. I photographed and they did their thing with The Unnopet family at their home. This is some of what I got.

This is what they got.

A little behind the scenes fun.

So now it’s just up to you! Let us show you what the love in your family looks like.

Grethel! This is such a wonderful idea! Your pictures are (as always) beautiful and the video brought tears to my eyes. What a special thing to have. Definitely a reminder to me to pull out the video more and to capture more “everyday” images of our family. Hoping to see you sometime this spring!!!
